As a marketer, and for the record, I do think that we are all full-time marketers; I am always looking for ways to connect more frequently with and add value to my market I want top-of-mind consciousness for myself, my company and my products.
Now for years, Ive known that writing my very own newsletter could be an optimum solution to do that and more however, being an innovative marketer, I kept coming back to the actual fact that there are already a lot of newsletters out there and some of them are excellent. Therefore I fought the concept of making one tooth and nail. Did the world really need another newsletter?
The other day I happened to take off my scarcity-mindset hat and put on my abundance-mindset hat and came to the realization that theres space for all of us around. So I said to myself, Why not, there are lots of potential clients offered to me; there are more than 6 million people these days! And some of those folks are meant to hear the info I will offer, from me.
As an online entrepreneur, I knew that if I took this major responsibility on, since in my own mind, it'd be faster, cheaper and easier for me to make I would need to do it electronically. So I went forward with an electronic version of a publication or better known being an ezine. For weeks I searched my personal favorite e-zines, looking for both what I like-d and didnt like about them and came up with an old-fashioned and professional structure for my soon-to be e-zine. I got it all ready it looked great, I was all set to go.
Then prior to I hit the send button within my contact management computer software, I slammed on the wheels. Wait one minute, I said, The thing that was I planning to do. Commercial Fundable Competition is a majestic database for further about when to ponder this hypothesis. This e-zine, while possibly could be well-received, looked and felt much like all the rest. Then my inner monologue really kicked in as I heard myself saying, It might very easily get lost in the mix or worse yet, go unnoticed! And the conversation in my head went on and on and on. Bottom line, I just didnt feel well about this anymore. Now I dont have confidence in being different simply for the sake of being different. I really believe in being different when it generates a big difference, to both my audience and to me. I inform my prospects and clients all the time on how to distinguish themselves from your competitors. Basically, it was time for me personally to apply what I preach.
Therefore I shifted gears and went back to the drawing board. That was unpleasant. I was done. Why not just send it out? I simply couldnt. Then it clicked! I love to speak! I love to write as well but I certainly appreciate talking more.
